Where are the passports?

I keep watching the mail for our passports. We still have several weeks before traveling, so I'm not concerned...yet. I checked the State Dept website, and it indicates that our applications have been received and are being processed. It also states that the State Dept. goal is for them to be processed/received "door-to-door" within three weeks (if one has chosen to expedite them, which we did). The three weeks deadline came and went on Thursday. Just as a side note, I have two friends who recently applied for, and received their passports within two weeks.... without paying extra for expediting. However, they both (at different times) applied at their local courthouse, one in Tulsa, the other in our small hometown. We applied at the local post office. So, if you need to apply for your passport in the future, I would suggest going to your local courthouse to apply, and save the expediting fees...it would seem to be faster.
